The Chester County Cyling Coalition will be holding its organizational meeting headed up by the new chair, Mary LaSota.  It will be a brainstorming event, so please try to attend as your input going forward will be important.
 

Who can attend?  Any  and all interested parties who have a vested interest in bicycling in Chester County.  That includes if you are a commuter, a recreational biker or a transportation groupie.  Chime in with your recommendations & walk or ride away feeling good about contributing to helping reduce the carbon footprint in your communities.

Subject: The WCCC Cycling Advocacy Committee in conjunction with Chester County Cycling Coalition is looking for a few good cyclists (speed is not essential - just passion)  
 
 
Over the past several years as membership in the WCCC increased, tension between cyclists and motorists increased in tandem. Cyclists hate motorists.  Motorists hate cyclists.  Oh when will this cycle of hate end??  Open communication between the two opposing groups is paramount.  
 
To that end, the newly formed WCCC Cycling Advocacy Committee is looking for cyclists interested in becoming ride ambassadors to their respective townships/municipalities.
 
The ambassador would act as liaison between WCCC/Chester County Cycling Coalition and their township.  The ambassador's responsibility would include developing  a working relationship with their elected officials, attending township meetings at least twice a year or as the need arises to address residents' concerns regarding cyclists, to educate residents about the PA vehicle code as it pertains to cyclists and motorists, to report residents' concerns back to the WCCC/Coalition and to educate residents about various community activities that the cycling communities is involved.
