March 24, 2011. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Bicycle Coalition will be attending the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee's "listening session" on Friday, March 25th at the Valley Forge Convention Center (Radisson Valley Forge Hotel) at 3 pm. The Committee's members will be hearing from invited speakers about streamlining the delivery time of transportation projects and public private partnerships.
The Bicycle Coalition and its members will be attending the session to show that biking and walking are important modes of transportation that need to be incorporated into the region's transportation network. "Biking has doubled over the past several years in suburban Philadelphia," said Alex Doty, Executive Director of the Bicycle Coalition. "We hope the Committee hears about how funding for transportation projects that increase choices for residents are cost effective transportation investments that can boost local economies."
RSVP is required as seating is limited.
