Bike Freedom Valley 2009 - Route Info

Your ride through Freedom Valley begins in Philadelphia. Distance optiouns include 8, 22, 32*, 44, 50* & 60+* (* Route is Hilly).

Family and new rider friendly loops of 8 and 22 miles from Philadelphia, a virtually car-free experience of the Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia.

Want to ride to Valley Forge without all the hills?  Try our 44 mile route from Philadelphia which stays on the Schuylkill River Trail into Valley Forge National Historic Park.

Our most popular 32* mile route offers a scenic (and hilly!) ride through Fairmount Park, Philadelphia bike lanes, the Main Line, Conshohocken and the Schuylkill River Trail.

Rider requested 50* mile option is back again.  Ride to Valley Forge from Philadelphia with hills on the way out and a flat trip home on the Schuylkill River Trail. Most of your ride in Valley Forge park will now be on regular roads.

The 60+* mile loop offers the challenges an expereinced cyclist seeks, whose reward is a loop outside Valley Forge National Historic Park in the rolling countryside of Chester County, and a relaxed return on the Schuylkill River Trail. Most of your ride in Valley Forge park will now be on regular roads.

For Experienced Riders:  Urban streets, suburban back roads and rolling hills in the countryside, from the Art Museum in Philadelphia to Valley Forge National Park and a loop in Chester County.

For Novice Riders: Three virtually car-free routes along the beautiful Schuylkill River Trail - a trail that was funded in part by the proceeds from this ride.

And Don't Forget the Food!  Four varied food stops, on features our famous tomato pie -- along with other great munchies and drinks.
