About Bike Philly
Bike Philly is the largest family-friendly bicycle ride in the Philadelphia area. It is organized by the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, who use the ride as both their biggest fundraiser and as a demonstration of bicycling's widespread support in the region. Now in its fifth year, Bike Philly drew 2,500 riders in the rain last year and 3,500 riders in 2009. Riders can take 10 or 20-mile closed-to-cars rides, or a 35-mile route into the suburbs on shared roads.
Photo opportunity at east-facing Philadelphia Museum of Art steps from 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM and along the ride course starting at 8:00 AM. Locations along the ride course include 10th & Arch, Columbus Blvd at the Race Street Pier, Broad & Lombard St, Logan Square, and the Girard Street Bridge.
