Safe Streets, Healthy Neighborhoods - South Philadelphia Project  The Bicycle Coalition received a service grant from the Community Design Collaborative to create conceptual designs for the South Philadelphia Project. This neighborhood has little in the way of infrastructure to accommodate active transportation, yet has the highest levels of walking and biking in the city.

The Community Design Collaborative Team held public meetings and met with key city departments to create a design that was both visionary and practical. Below is an illustration of some of the key concepts of the design for South Philadelphia.
