Safe Routes Philly Family Phest

Safe Routes Philly Family Phest provides a fun day for families to learn bicycle skills and discover community resources to become healthier and safer riders.

Location and time: Eakin's Oval on Saturday, September 11th 2010 from 10:00am - 2:00pm (26 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19103; in front of the Museum of Art).

Activities: Safe Routes Philly Family Phest includes on-bike activities, valuable community resources in addition to complimentary cold drinks. Children ages 8 -12 years old are encouraged to participate in the Bike Rodeo - a skill building obstacle course teaching children essential bicycle skills in a safe and fun learning environment. In addition, Family Phest provides Philadelphia's youth and health oriented organizations an opportunity to connect with Philadelphia families. 

Kids - Please bring your own bike and helmet if you wish to participate in the Bike Rodeo! Our Safe Routes Philly staff will provide a safety check before kids participate in the rodeo.  

Registration for Family Phest will take place at the event! Kids, please bring a parent/guardian to sign your waiver.

Organizations that reserve a table before August 1st will have their logo appear on the Bicycle Coalition's website. Safe Routes Philly Family Phest Participants will have an opportunity for discounted registration to Bike Philly - the Bicycle Coalition's flagship fundraiser. Held on Sunday, September 12th, Bike Philly is a family-friendly bike tour celebrating the freedom of car-free Philadelphia streets. It's an opportunity for riders to ride through historic neighborhoods and explore hidden corners of Fairmount Park. Bicyclists of all skill levels are welcome.
