A Vision of Bicycling: What might bicycling in the Delaware Valley be like in 20 years?
Congressman
Joe Sestak* (Delaware Co, and parts of Montgomery and Chester Co) and
Rina Cutler (Philadelphia's Deputy Mayor of Transportation and
Utilities) will speak about the future of bicycling.
We
will also share the results of our recent visioning
workshop, recognize some outstanding bicycle advocates and elect new
board members.

Philadelphia to get a Bike Plan After years of waiting, the City of Philadelphia's Planning Commission issued a request for proposals (RFP) to hire a consultant to assist it in developing a new bike plan for Philadelphia. The bike plan is one of the top issues the Coalition called upon the Nutter Administration to tackle in our Bike-Friendly Philadelphia Agenda.

And a big shout out to Keswick Cycle, Bicycle Therapy, SRAM, Cannondale, Specialized and Orbea, plus North Bowl, Action Wheels, High Road Cycles, Knapps Cyclery, Bucks County Bikes, Trophy Bikes, the Bike Barn, and Zipp for putting it all together. The event raised over $3,000!
BCGP Event Director Hired Starting on April 1st (no joke!), Beth Mohan Resta will fill the brand new position of Bicycle Coalition Event Director. Beth worked on Commerce Bank Bike Philly last year in her role as marketing specialist/community liaison at Whole Foods.
