Bringing Safe Walking & Biking To Suburban Schools

 Our Safe Routes Philly program has taught more than 30,000 Philadelphia school children valuable biking and walking safety lessons, while helping schools apply for funding to improve infrastructure and programming.

We will teach you how to apply for funding, advocate for infrastructure changes, and work with your local schools on encouragement and education activities.

Upcoming Trail Events & How To Stay Savvy This Summer

 Sunday, April 15th, 1:00 PM Walking tour of the proposed Forge To Refuge Trail. Architect and trail designer Bob Thomas is leading an exploratory walk on this proposed trail from Cobbs Creek Park to Karakung Park. For more information, visit the Parks Alliance website and click on "walking tours." April 18th and 19th, 5:30 PM Lower Schuylkill River Master Plan - feedback sessions These meetings will offer the public the chance to learn about, and offer feedback on, plans for the Lower Schuylkill River. The Master Plan Study is a collaborative effort to create high-quality, sustainable redevelopment along both banks of the lower Schuylkill River. One meeting will be held in West Philly, the other at 34th & Grays Ferry Ave. This will be a good opportunity to advocate for completing the Schuylkill River Trail from Bartram's Garden down to Fort Mifflin. April 24th, 3:30 pm Earth Day - Navy Yard Bike Tour

 We were founded in 1972. That makes us 40 years old this year. In honor of this big milestone, we thought we'd treat ourselves to a new logo (at right). More importantly, this anniversary reminds us that we've only come this far with your support.
