Rally in Harrisburg for our first PA Bike Summit and support our brand new partner group: PA Walks and Bikes.

Wednesday, May 6 - Volunteer Training
Help the Bicycle Coalition by volunteering your time and come to our first training/ pizza party.

Friday, May 8 - East Coast Greenway Summit
The East Coast Greenway Summit features an overview of the greenway in Pennsylvania, and presentations by local and national leaders who are helping to build the trail.

Saturday, May 9 - Mural Bike Tour
Lead by City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program tour guide Ryan Derfler. The cost is $10 and space is limited.
Two-hour tour from Lloyd Hall (1 Boathouse Row) at 10am.

Wednesday, May 13th - City Council Hearing for Bicycle Parking Bill 
Come show your support for a proposed ordinance to require bicycle parking with most new construction.
City Council Chambers (City Hall) at 10 am.

Friday, May 15 - National Bike to Work Day & Bicycle Ambassadors Launch
Whether you are a regular bike commuter or want to try it out for the first time, the mayor wants to ride with you!
Meet Mayor Nutter at the Art Museum at 8:30 am
Bicycle Ambassadors Launch:
Meet the new Bicycle Ambassadors as we launch the program at City Hall with Mayor Nutter and Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown at 9:30 am

Delaware County:
Join other bike commuters at the Delaware Valley Courthouse from 8am to 10am for refreshments and raffle prizes.
Chester County:
Ride with State Senator Andy Dinniman
Sen. Dinniman's offices

Saturday, May 16 - Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby
A parade of human-powered floats, with mummers on hand crank driven pirate ships or an alien space ship on 2 welded together bikes.
Parade starts at 12:30 pm. Stop by the BCGP table.

Friday, May 29 - Bike to the Ballpark/
New Rider Night
A group ride to Citizens Bank Park to watch the Philadelphia Phillies challenge the Washington Nationals (game time 7:05pm). Complimentary valet bike parking provided by Neighborhood Bike Works.
New riders can meet us on the Schuylkill River Trail at the Locust Street entrance at 5:45pm.
Experienced riders meet at City Hall Plaza at 6:15pm.
